Tree removal
How much does tree removal cost?
It depends on size, location, access, tree health, and stump grinding. We give free on-site estimates with competitive prices.
Can you remove a tree next to my house?
Yes. We climb the tree and lower each piece by rope.
Is stump grinding included?
It is usually priced separately. Ask for it in your quote.
Do I need a permit?
Trees on your own property usually do not, but some villages and HOAs have rules. Parkway trees usually belong to the village.
Tree trimming and tree health
When is the best time to trim trees in Illinois?
Late fall through late winter for most trees. Avoid pruning oaks from spring through midsummer.
Do you top trees?
No. Topping weakens trees. We use proper pruning cuts.
Can my ash tree be saved?
Some healthy ash trees can be protected with early treatment. Dead or heavily infested ash should be removed.
How do I know if a tree is dead?
No leaves in summer, bark falling off, fungus at the base, and brittle branches are common signs.
Storms and emergencies
A tree fell on my house. What do I do?
Get everyone to safety, stay away from wires, call ComEd if lines are involved, take photos, and call us.
Will insurance pay?
Often when a tree damages your house or a covered structure. Check with your insurance company.
Landscaping
What landscaping do you do?
Design, installation, cleanups, mulch, sod, shrub trimming, and maintenance.
What grows well in clay soil?
Many native plants, like coneflower, little bluestem, ninebark, and bur oak.
Can you landscape after removing a tree?
Yes. We grind the stump, clear chips, add topsoil, and plant or sod.
